“UpShift Tours”, “we”, “our”, or “us” means The Trustee for Honey & Jarrod’s Family Trust and associated entities, companies, affiliates and services.
“User”, “you” or “your” means any entity who uses the UpShift Tour services.
What is Included?
The following items are included in the trip: English-speaking Ride Guide, land transportation to and from Denpasar airport, support vehicle & moto scout, all meals (subject to your arrival & departure times), free kit, daily post ride massage, use of spare wheels, house wine and non-alcoholic beverages, all accommodation and detailed route information.
The following items are not included: Flights, travel insurance, bicycles and required bicycle parts and/or equipment, passport and visas, items of a personal nature such as telephone chargers and laundry, excess baggage charges and gratuities.
To reserve an UpShift Tours trip a non-refundable deposit of 10% per person is required. A reservation will not be considered to be finalised until this deposit is received.
The balance of your payment is due 60 days prior to the trip departure date for all trips. Payments for our Bali by Bike trip can be made in instalments. $800 up front, with 5 x $500 monthly payments for riders, or $700 up front with 5 x $700 monthly payments for non-riders.

We accept payment by Credit Card, Paypal or bank transfer. Credit Card and Paypal payments will incur a 3% fee.
If for some reason you have to cancel your trip, the cancellation must be confirmed in writing and signed by the participant on the booking form.
- i.If you cancel over 60 days before start of your trip a full refund minus $900.00 administrative fee will be processed. Tour can be rescheduled based on availability at a later stage without having to repay the deposit.
- ii. If you cancel between 60-30 days we will refund of 75% of tour fee.
- iii. If you cancel within 30 days we will refund of 50% of tour fee.
- iv. Full refunds will be offered if a tour is cancelled due to lack of numbers or natural disaster before tour commences. Natural disaster or national emergency during a tour will result in a free reschedule at a safe date.
Clients will need to rely on their own insurance policy to get flights credited back in this case.
Participants are responsible for having adequate travel insurance covering accident, personal injury, loss of luggage and cancellation. UpShift Tours is not liable for personal injury, death, damage to property or other loss whether arising from accident, cancellation, delays or any other matter beyond our control.
UpShift Tours will not assume responsibility or liability for any loss or damage of personal effects or for any injury or loss during the duration of the tour. Therefore, baggage and health/accident insurance are highly recommended. We also strongly recommend to get travel insurance to protect you in the event you must cancel your vacation or if your trip is interrupted for any reason: emergency or illness of the participant or a traveling companion, illness or death of an immediate family member of either the participant or their traveling companion.
Each participant is responsible for booking their own flight to and from Denpasar. We can recommend a travel agency if needed. It is recommended to arrive the day before the tour start date as accommodation in our villa is accounted for in the package price.
Send through flight details as soon as booking confirmation is made to ensure airport pickups are arranged at adequate times. You are responsible for booking your bike on your flight.
Passports & Visas
All participants must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of conclusion of the tour. It is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain a valid passport and visa, where necessary. In order to be eligible to board your flight your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. This is also a condition of entering the republic of Indonesia. If you arrive for your flight with a passport with less than 6 months validity you will might not be allowed to board your plane or denied entry into Indonesia.

Passengers denied boarding or entry because of improper documentation will receive no refund.
Eligibility & Group Size
Group rides are limited to a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 10 riders. Each rider is permitted to bring 1 non rider. Group sizes can range from 6 to 10 people.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older, unless accompanied by an adult and already race at an A Grade level.
UpShift Tours, the operator, the directors, their agents and/or suppliers of services act only as agents for the traveller and accept no responsibility for the service of any hotel, restaurant, carrier or any other independent party used in connection with these tours; nor any liability for claims, damages, injury, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity which may be occasioned by any cause whatsoever including acts of nature, government restrictions or any failure of any means of a transport operator to adhere to their published schedule.
In the event that it becomes necessary or advisable to alter the itinerary or arrangements for the comfort and/or wellbeing of the participants, such alterations will be made without penalty to the operator. UpShift Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour and to decline to accept any person as a member of the tour at any time. If there are any amendments to a tour item or an entire tour, you will be contacted and the details of the situation will be fully disclosed and possible solutions discussed.
Responsibilities Of Trip Participants
Trip participants are responsible for understanding the conditions implied in the Trip Itinerary, and ensuring the trip is appropriate to their interests, abilities and fitness level. They are responsible for preparing for the trip accordingly, reading and respecting all safe cycling rules, and having the proper bike and equipment needed for the trip.
The undersigned acknowledge that they know of the risk to the Participant, in addition to other risks and dangers of participating in the tours. The risks of falling from or crashing a bicycle exist for a variety of reasons including, without limitation, cars and other vehicles, road conditions, weather, equipment failure or improper usage, acts of other riders (cyclists), and other reasons known and unknown.
Participants will be required to wear a helmet that is approved to Australian standards at all times while riding.
Participants must also sign and submit an UpShift Tours Release and Assumption of All Risk Form and Personal Information Form prior to departure. The undersigned hereby assumes all risk of participation in the tour including, without limitation, those listed above, whether such risks are caused by negligence of any person or otherwise. The Participant is presumed to have the knowledge and bike riding and handling skills necessary to participate in the tour.
Participants are required to respect the laws and customs of Indonesia and follow environmental guidelines and regulations while on the trip in accordance with the direction of their group leader. UpShift Tours reserves the right to ask any individual to leave the trip if, in the opinion of the leader, the guest’s continued participation may prove detrimental to the individual or is not compatible with the well-being and enjoyment of the other guests.
RECREATIONAL DRUG CONSUMPTION OR DRUG POSESSION OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. ANY PARTICIPANT FOUND USING, CARRYING OR SUPPLYING DRUGS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE TOUR WITHOUT COMPENSATION. INDONESIAN LAW MANDATES THE DEATH PENALTY FOR DRUG RELATED OFFENCES.
You will protect UpShift Tours (and UpShift Tours directors, officers, agents, and employees) against any entitlement or request, including permissible costs and fees arising out of or due to your acting in contradiction to this Agreement, or your breach of any laws in the course of using the UpShift Tours Services.
UpShift Tours is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Any information that you provide will be treated as confidential and not sold or distributed to third parties. From time to time you may receive promotional materials relating to new tour itineraries etc. If you wish to be removed from our list of recipients you can unsubscribe at any time.

Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)
Under no circumstances shall UpShift Tours be liable for:
- i.any unintended, consequential, distinctive or related damages that might arise;
- ii.any damage to business, income, or profits (whether indirect or direct) that might be experienced by you;
- iii.any damage, claim, or loss which might be sustained by you as a consequence of any of your dealings with UpShift Tours.
The limits on UpShift Tours accountability to you will be effective if UpShift Tours or not, staff, UpShift Tours affiliates, UpShift Tours related entities or anyone else connected with UpShift Tours have been counselled of the likelihood of such damages or costs arising.
Nothing in scope of this User Agreement is envisioned to exclude or limit any liability where and to the degree that appropriate law disallows such rejection or restraint as well as those in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and applicable state policies and laws.
This Agreement will be governed in all respects by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If a dispute cannot be resolved then you and UpShift Tours irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia in Melbourne.
The inaccuracy of any part of this agreement will not and shall not be thought to affect the legitimacy of any other part. In the event that any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid, the parties agree that the left over provisions shall be considered to be in full force and effect as if they had been executed by both parties subsequent to the expungement of the invalid provision
